Hello everyone and welcome back to Once Upon a Thyme! I know it's only been a day since my last chapter, but I didn't have a very good day Yesterday, which meant that I got lots of simming in. I tend to sim more when I need an escape from real life.

I love seeing the ghosts of previous generation heirs doing things that they did when they were alive. For example, our generation four heiress, Sage, who spent a lot of time writing novels from this computer, prefers to use this computer during her hauntings.



Does anyone else have a problem with random items disappearing from your homes? I've had numerous chairs disappear, as well as a few other random items, but I was really upset when I saw that some of the eggs from the Spring challenge were missing, since those are items I can't replace.

I always pay their bills on time and they never really have any guests in the house that could be stealing it. Unless kleptomaniac ghosts can steal, in that case Rashawn's ghost could be the problem.



Ginseng is a lot more squeamish than his father. He made this face when he got home from school, and I have no idea why. He didn't have any uncomfortable moodlets or anything so I'm wondering if it's from something that happened before school and he just wasn't able to complete the action before he headed off. Who knows.



Ginseng has completed Rambunctious Scamp, which I always find amusing that most of my sims end up completing it on the computer. Next, he'll be working on Artistic Prodigy.



The family now has a cowplant again, and man they are so high maintenance. I wanted to put a fence around it with a gate so that I can lock sims out so they don't mess with the cake, but because the house is on a foundation, I can't get it to work, it wants to put the fenced in area on a foundation as well.



I finally bought the family a toy chest because I was tired of them leaving the toys in random places where I couldn't find them for the Artistic Prodigy kids.

Ginseng seems to be having a bit of a problem playing with them though because he hit himself in the face several times with his toy dinosaur.



I've completed these aspirations so many times, that it takes no time at all for me to complete them. Social Butterfly is the only exception because it glitches a lot to where my sims don't get credit for friends, etc.

Needless to say, Ginseng completed Artistic Prodigy and Social Butterfly is the only one that's left. If it doesn't glitch, I should be able to complete it before his birthday.



I spent a lot of time trying to finish Social Butterfly, but he wouldn't get credit and so after two days of trying his birthday rolled around and he was only half way done.



He looks a lot like his Dad, but because of that hair I also think he looks like Rashawn.



After a make over he looks even more handsome, and I have to say that even though I was really hoping Cicely was the heir, I'm quite pleased with Ginseng.



I kind of tried to stick to the clean look that he had as a child, but it didn't quite work out that way because I really liked him in this blue outfit and I liked how well his shoes match his shirt.



Now that they're all teenagers, here's a comparison of the three. There's quite a bit of genetic diversity here. With exception of Jasmine and Bay I've never really had a disappointing generation when it comes to diverse features.



Since his aspiration is Joke Star, we had to buy Ginseng a microphone for one of the milestones. Unforunately, after that he needed to become an adult and join the entertainment career so he's sort of a stand still for right now.



Angelica has finally reached maximum gardening skill, and thus has completed the Freelance Botanist aspiration. I decided to go ahead and give her Successful Lineage as her next aspiration.



After mentoring her older brother on violin for a few hours, Cicely has completed her aspiration! That's right, I completed the aspiration of a spare! I gave her Fabulously Wealthy as her next aspiratin because her royalties from the songs she wrote should help with that.



Miguel has reached the split in the Secret Agent career, I had him do the good agent track because of him having the 'good' trait.



It's time for Burdock to become a young adult, my how time flies.



He looks pretty much the same. I think he's very handsome.

His final trait is cheerful, giving him the most normal list of traits I've had for a sim in some time.



Because he had to explore space a few times for his aspiration, I decided to have him meet an alien to marry because I just felt like it would pair well with his aspiration.



Caroline looks fantastic after her make over. I definitely have high hopes for their future children.



Burdock actually moved her in before they really had much of a romance, because thanks to the Incredibly Friendly reward trait, the option to move her in was available almost immediately after introducing himself to her.



Caroline is officially pregnant! She looks so excited.

I'll admit, I was a little nervous at first that she would get Burdock pregnant instead since she's a female alien.



After Caroline announces her pregnancy, Burdock frowns but then does this cute little happy dance.



I had tried to get him to propose in the same spot where she announced her pregnancy but for some reason when I clicked propose they both decided to get dressed and walk some place random and then he proposed, so this is not at all what I had planned.



Since it appears they both really like the focus room since they chose to come in here for the proposal, I decided it was only fitting that they got married in there too.



I completed Burdock's aspiration as well! That means I completed the aspiration of both spares.

I gave Burdock bodybuilder as his next aspiration because he spends most of his free time working out anyway.



Caroline and pregnancy don't seem to mix well because even though the puddle didn't show up because there was already a puddle from the broken plumbing, she had an accident right in front of the toilet.



Luckily, her pregnancy has come to an end and she's going into labor!



Meet baby girl Marjoram! Who, at the moment looks exactly like her mother.



As is routine with the children of spares, Marjoram is immediately aged up. I can't believe her cousins are going to be generation nine!



She is so stinking cute! She looks a lot like her father, but with her Mom's skintone.



I also really liked the pink dress with her skintone, I thought it looked cute.



I used this house for another spare earlier in the legacy, but now Burdock and his family are going to live there.



I think they're going to have a nice happy life together.



Back at home, a few days pass and then it's time for Cicely to become a young adult as well!



She put on a tiny bit of weight but other than that she looks exactly the same.

She added bookworm to her list of traits.



Today is also Miguel's birthday!



He got pretty wrinkly, but looks relatively the same. I considered changing his hair and clothes, but nothing else looked right.



Even though her birthday wasn't for a few more days, I decided to go ahead and age Angelica up too.



She looks a lot like Rue as an elder, at least I think so. But she's definitely still beautiful she's just put on some weight.



Cicely ended up meeting another sim created by my friend Roxanne that she made for a challenge over at SiMania.



I thought Greg was perfect as he was so I didn't change anything about him.



Cicely and Greg shared their first kiss in front of Cicely's parents and Donald's angry ghost. How romantic...



Luckily, their proposal was much more romantic. I can't get over how beautiful this spot is. I think if I were a sim, I'd want to just sit here for hours.



The couple then eloped in the same spot.

I didn't realize that I forgot to change their clothes until it was too late.



Cicely is officially pregnant! I think that she and Greg are going to have an adorable baby.



Greg did the same happy dance that Burdock did when he found out that his wife was pregnant.



He must have been really excited because he immediately went over to Cicely and kissed her.



There's really nothing interesting going on with Ginseng, he's just been working out in his spare time.



Cicely's pregnancy seemed to fly by, and soon she was going into labor.



Meet baby girl Lemongrass! I originally wasn't sure if I liked this name or not, but it's growing on me!



I thought it was kind of sweet that Lemongrass aged up into Angelica's old hair.



I've been using the stylized outfits occasionally, and I really like this one.



Here's a slightly better shot of the outfit. I just like how the glasses match and I love the pink and blue combination.



This is the new home that Cicely and her family will be living in.



They're such a precious family, don't you agree?



Ginseng's birthday isn't for another couple of days, but since he already has the incredibly friendly trait I sent him to town to meet some potential spouses and be friend them.

This is Desiree. Her eye brows are terrible, but I think there's definitely some potential here.



Ginseng seems to be a little cocky about the fact that he's befriended an older woman.



Angelica was the only one present for Ginseng's young adult birthday, but she made sure to make a big deal out of it.

I apparently forgot to take a picture of him after, but he looks the same. He added ambitious to his list of traits.



The first thing Ginseng does, when it becomes a decent enough hour to do so, is invite Desiree over and ask her to move in.



HOLY COW. I wasn't lying when I said that she had potential. She is so pretty, I almost want to extract her and use her as a legacy founder (with different traits and aspiration, though.)



Seriously, look how cute she is guys! I love her so much!



So, I'm not going to lie, I had to cheat a little bit. See, everytime these guys would flirt, even though they were good friends, it would have a negative impact on their relationship. I think it's because she's a loner, but I used the relationship cheat to get them 1/4 of the way into the romance bar which is far enough for a First Kiss but not far enough for a proposal.



After some flirting and a woohoo, they both had the ability to propose, so just in case something bad happened with future flirts, I had Ginseng propose right away. Thankfully she accepted.



I had them go to the Love Blooms lot that my friend Roxanne made (22Taube on the gallery) for their wedding and it really was a beautiful ceremony.



I forgot to check the needs of everyone though, so a lot of people were hungry.



While the caterer was cooking, I had them cut their cake so that people could at least eat something.



But see, then this thing happened where a ghost arrived on the lot and was feeling flirty. The ghost flirted with Angelica and she accepted the flirt, so Miguel immediately got angry and jealous. He kept trying to queue kisses and other romantic actions with Angelica but she was still too busy talking to the ghost.

So I ended the wedding early because they were already at gold, and sent them home to prevent future damage and drama.



Shortly after they arrived home, Desiree found out that she was pregnant! Generation nine is officially on the way guys!



Ginseng wasn't quite as happy as Desiree and I however. You can't see it super well, but in the mirror you can kind of see how excited Desiree is.
