Hello everyone and welcome back to Once Upon a Thyme! In our last chapter, our current heiress Angelica grew up, got married, and had her first baby, a baby boy named Burdock.

Since Angelica's aspiration didn't have anything to do with a job, I had her take a job in Culinary with a goal of mixology. She had a decent amount of skill from when she was a teenager and had the barista job.



She's really good at doing bar tricks as well. Though, she looks a little nervous to be trying this one out. I didn't know that practicing bar tricks built mixology skill either, but now I do at least.



I can't believe Oregano is already becoming an elder!



He pretty much looks exactly the same. He did put some weight on, which is good actually because if you remember from the last chapter he drank a insta-lean potion and looked anorexic afterward.



Despite being an evil sim, Oregano loves his grandson. Luckily, he never had to change a diaper, I don't know how squeamish sims respond to that. Even with his own kids, I pretty much made Rue, Daryl, and Trinity do most of the work.



Oregano has reached the top of the Criminal career and is now 'The Boss.'



Burdock's birthday has arrived, and he aged into some interesting clothing choices.



I think he looks like his Mom, but I do see some of Miguel.

For the first time, I get a trait that goes well with Social Butterfly. Hopefully this will make doing the aspiration easier.



So I loved the bowtie and monocle on the fish, which is the primary reason why I picked it. I think he's adorable!



Angelica has reached the split of the Culinary career and as I mentioned previously, she's going to follow the mixology branch.



So right before the result of her pregnancy test, Angelica made this face and I couldn't help but take a picture. She's been making a lot of faces lately.



Anyway, she is pregnant now with her second child.



When she tells Miguel, he makes such a big frown that the corners of his mouth are practically at the bottom of his jaw. For a sim with a family aspiration he sure doesn't like his wife being pregnant very much.



I sent Burdock to the park to work on his aspiration a little, and he met his cousin Garlic and they became friends quite quickly.



Later that night, Burdock was awakened to a monster under the bed, he stood there freaked out and stared at it for a minute.



It probably looks cooler with the beds that don't stay flat to the ground, but here's a picture of the monster for those of you who haven't seen it.



Anyway, after staring at the monster for a minute, Burdock ran into his Grandparent's bedroom and woke Oregano and then asked him to spray the monster under the bed. Oregano then sprayed the wrong bed.



One evening after work, Angelica comes home with this lovely face. She's giving someone some serious side-eye.

Also, she's only in her second trimester, look how large she is! I wonder if it's multiples?



Oregano goes and visits his children, as well as his sister, and his niece, and he clogs their drains, completing his Chief of Mischief aspiration.

Since he had been spending a lot of his free time painting, I had him choose the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration.



It took forever for it to happen, but finally Burdock and Garlic are BFFs so I can move on to the last part of Burdock's aspiration.



While working in the garden, Angelica goes into labor.



After a nap, she heads into the nursery and gives birth.



It's a girl! Meet baby girl Cicely Thyme!



Not long after Cicely's birth, it's time to celebrate Trinity's elder birthday!



She makes a beautiful elder, I don't think much changed about her really.



I know this is a terrible spot, but after selling the growfruits she harvested from this tree, Angelica earned the last bit of money she needed for her aspiration!

I chose Mixologist as her next aspiration.



For one part of her aspiration, Angelica needs to make three drinks at a social event. So, I decided to throw the basic costume party. I don't have Spooky Stuff yet so it wasn't that kind of party.



So after making the drinks, she kept making the other drinks that were needed for her aspiration and she ended up completing it during the party!

Since she already has a high gardening skill, I picked Freelance Botanist as her next aspiration.



Oregano is still dressed as a pizza delivery guy when he goes upstairs to age Cicely up.



She's really adorable, she has her father's hair and eye color, but other than that I really think she looks like her Mom. Plus, she got lazy from both parents.



I thought this was the cutest thing. She was doing this when she left the mirror, and it was just so cute.



Her first night as a child, and the monster shows up under her bed as well. Unlike her brother though, she got on her knees and tried to talk to it. I got a notification that she tried to become friends with the monster, but the monster wasn't interested.



I don't know whether it was out of fear, or because she was upset that the monster wouldn't be her friend, but she ran straight downstairs to ask Trinity to spray under her bed.



Since I decided to have three kids per generation, except for when twins or triplets are born during the last pregnancy, Angelica needs to get pregnant one more time and she has! The last baby of this generation is on the way, and once it's born we'll have a new heir or heiress!



"Miguel, I'm pregnant again!"

"Why!? We have two kids already and..."

"Look Miguel, you have a family aspiration, get over it and get happy, becides this is the last pregnancy don't worry."



And then out of nowhere, Miguel smiled and started clapping! We'll never know whether he was happy about the baby or happy that it was going to be the last.



Despite not being fond of his wife being pregnant, and not tending to them when they were babies, he is a great father. He's always helping them with homework, reading them stories, and playing chess with them.



After heading to the park again, Burdock befriends Garrett who is wearing the same shirt as him. This completes his aspiration! I gave him Artistc Prodigy as his next aspiration.



When I heard the sound that the game plays when a sim is going to die, my heart dropped. I actually was very fond of Oregano despite his crazy personality, or maybe because of it, so I was deeply saddened when the grim reaper came to take him.



Trinity and Miguel were both present to see Oregano's death.

Luckily, we have so many focus items in the focus room that their sad buffs weren't too terrible.



Oregano died before he was able to meet his last grandbaby, but I'm sure his ghost will show up and he'll get to meet them soon.

Which is just a more sentimental way of saying that Angelica is in labor again.



Meet baby boy Ginseng! I've been running out of boy names, so I had her eat strawberries but it was after she was officially in labor so it didn't work.



"Hi my sweet son. You're going to take over this legacy for Mommy."



Burdock has completed the Artistic Prodigy aspiration! I gave him Whiz Kid as his next aspiration, but I don't think he'll be able to complete it before his birthday.



Speaking of birthdays, it's time for Miguel to become a full fledged adult!



And he looks exactly the same.



It's also time for little Ginseng to become a child, but man that taste in clothes is terrible. At least he matched his sunglasses to his shoes, right?



Ginseng looks the most like his father in my opinion, and he apparently wanted to make up for not meeting his Grandpa by following in his footsteps and getting squeamish as his first trait.



He immediately started working on his aspiration by playing chess with his Grandma. I love the face he's making.



Burdock's birthday finally arrives, and he unfortunately didn't complete Whiz Kid in time.



I see a lot of both parents in him, but those clothes aren't working for me.



Post makeover, I realize that he actually looks like his Mom. It was just because he grew up into his father's hair that I thought he looked similar.

He has a great personality so far too.



I actually still see some of Daryl in his genetics too, which seem to be most prevalent in the male sims.



Cicely has completed her Artistic Prodigy aspiration. Next, she'll be working on Rambunctious Scamp.



I thought this picture was pretty amusing, which is the main reason I'm including it. They just all have different reactions to their days at school.

Burdock is bored, which is typical of a teenager.

I believe that Ginseng was confident and Cicely was just happy.



Cicely completed rambunctious scamp very quickly, and now is working on Artistic Prodigy.



Trinity has been doing a lot of programming related things autonomously. First, she continued working on a mobile app she started a while back. Then, she kept hacking various things.



Unfortunately, soon after hacking, her time came.



Even though he was playing chess, Burdock still got the moodlet for witnessing Trinity's death. Cicely and Miguel also managed to show up right before she died.



Even though she looks angry, Angelica should be happy because she's reached the top of the mixology career!



Cicely has completed Artistic Prodigy! I gave her social butterfly, but I doubt she'll be able to complete it before her birthday. If she was the heiress, I'd definitely work hard on finishing it, but I'm focusing more on Ginseng's aspirations right now.



It's time for Angelica to become an adult!



Other than a few lines under her eyes, I really don't notice a difference. She's still gorgeous!



Luckily, I was able to get the candles back on the cake before anyone took a slice, because it's also Cicely's birthday!



I see a good mix of both parents, but primarily I see Angelica.



So far, her first two traits are identical to her mother and father.



I really liked the combination of this hair with this dress, and then the shoes matching the belt. I think Cicely pulls it off nicely.



Ginseng has completed Whiz Kid and now he's going to work on Rambunctious Scamp!

I hope you all had a lovely Independence Day and got to see some pretty fireworks. Unfortunately, I took a nap and slept too long and missed them. But, I did get to have a nice lunch with my family earlier in the day.
