Hello everyone and welcome back to Once Upon a Thyme! I apologize that it's been a little longer than normal since I've released a chapter. I've been mostly helping my husband out since he's still learning to play.
Speaking of, if you haven't read it already, be sure you read his legacy The Keel Legacy. It's available on SiMania and BoolProp. Or you can just go to his dreamwidth.
Since Sage reached the top of her career fairly early on, she got to be my first sim to actually retire in the Sims 4.

However, things aren't going as smoothly for Rue who isn't getting very much sleep as a new Mom. Luckily, with Sage retiring this should help a lot.

Speaking of, it's now little Saffron's birthday! I'm glad he got his Mom's red hair.

After a quick make-over, I see both of his parents in him. He got the good trait, but then got Social Butterfly, my least favorite because I get it the most often.

So, you know how last chapter I said I hadn't had a problem with my sims constantly going out to mourn the graves? Well, I jinxed myself because now I find Saffron out there all the time mourning family members he never met. His personal favorite seems to be his Great-Grandpa Rashawn.

Cayenne has finally made an appearance, and luckily she stayed in the focus room most of the evening. I was worried she'd start being mean to her Great-Grandson since she hates children.

Rue is successfully pregnant with the next baby of generation six!

Daryl sort-of just stared creepily at the ceiling like this the whole time that Rue was announcing her pregnancy to him.

So it looks like the dollhouse still isn't safe. Cayenne has picked up her favorite hobby again now that she's more comfortable with being a ghost.

Saffron has onlybeen a child for a few days and he's already been plagued with the lovely illness that is so common in the Thyme household.

So, Rue went to work with her huge belly while she was in her third trimester. I thought for sure she was going to come home early in labor, but she surprisingly didn't.

I love seeing ghost couples out. This is the first time I've seen Juniper and Judd out together.

Rue surprisingly didn't go into labor until several hours after she had gotten home from work. After a quick nap, she was ready to go!

Meet baby girl Clove! I just know she's going to be adorable. I mean, look at her parents!

Since I still don't know who the heir is going to be yet, I reluctantly sent Saffron to the park to try to make some friends.
He ran into his cousin Vanilla there and they got along really well and became quick friends.

Laurel is always good about tending to the young babies in the house.
I tend to see her ghost the most frequently, which I really like because she's the founder.

So, while he was experimenting on the science table, because it was late and he only needed one more child friend for the tier he was on, Saffron started a fire.
He then proceeded to STAND in the fire, and not stop experimenting.

The whole family stopped what they were doing to freak-out about the fire, and Daryl immediately went to put the fire out.
However, if you notice, Saffron refuses to stop experimenting and just continues to stand there. I thought for sure he was going to die.

Luckily, Saffron survived, though I can't really say the same for the science table.

"You're such a sweet little baby. Papa doesn't have to worry about you starting fires, all you do is eat, poop, and sleep."

The next day, Saffron went back to the park to try to find another child sim to befriend. We ran into Fennel who is now a teenager, and wow he's very handsome.
Unfortunately, we didn't run into any children there.

However, Clove just became a child, so maybe he can befriend her.
From this angle, I think she looks a lot like her Grandma Sage but without the blue skin.

Clove is my first sim with the glutton trait, and I'm interested to see how it plays out.
She's very pretty though, and she even has green eyes.

I dressed her in all green because I thought it brought out the green in her eyes.

While playing a few games of chess with Sage for her aspiration, I caught her cheating. Poor oblivious Sage.

Rue is now pregnant for the last time, which means once this baby is born we will find out who our heir/ess for generation six is going to be!

"But two kids is just fine, Rue! My Mom and her twin brother were the only ones born to my Grandparents and me and my twin sister were the only ones born to my parents!"
"I know sweetie, but this legacy requires three children per generation."

Laurence has reached the top of his career and so I promptly had him retire.

To celebrate his retirement, he heads inside to take a selfie with his granddaughter.

Unfortunately, the very next day he dies while heading to the basement to talk to Daryl who was working out.

The death hit Sage pretty hard, and she kept wanting to make sad paintings.
In fact, even though she wasn't downstairs when he died, she got the widow moodlet. None of my other sims have gotten that when their spouse died.

When she wasn't making sad paintings, she was crying under the covers in bed.

After several trips to the park, I still hadn't found a sim for Saffron to befriend. So I put in some legacy loves created by my friend Lydia/hippielayla86 because hers have children in them, and Saffron met one of the little boys from the family and became friends with him and has finished his aspiration!
I gave him Whiz Kid as his next aspiration.

Rue has decided to be different and contract a completely different illness. This one just looks so strange.

Luckily, it went away pretty quickly because now that she's in labor, I would hate for her to give it to her newborn.

It's twins!
First born is baby girl Anise, followed by her twin brother Oregano! Of course, Oregano had to deal with the pink bassinet since for some reason you can't recolor occupied bassinets.

Baby boy Oregano is our generation six heir! He's also the first boy to ever be heir!

While playing a game of chess with her Grandson, Sage decides it's now time for her to pass on.

Saffron just keeps playing chess while his grandmother is dying on the floor next to him.
Daryl actually stops eating lunch to cry.
And some random lady that I don't know invites herself into our home so she can mourn Sage as well.

Rue has reached the split in her career, though I don't remember which path I had her take. I forgot to write it down.

Anise and Oregano are two of the worst babies I've had. It's made worse by the fact that there are two of them.
They are constantly crying, it doesn't matter what I have Daryl or Rue do, they just scream and scream.

Even Laurence seems a bit taken aback by how annoying they are. That's the nursery door right behind him.

Daryl and Rue were about to pass out and they had just fed them so I just sent them to bed and let the babies cry it out.
But luckily, Laurence and Laurel were there and they immediately went in to care for the twins.

Since she's a glutton, Clove scarfs her food down so quickly that I'm surprised she doesn't get a stomach ache.

I don't think the day came soon enough, but the twins are FINALLY children! No more screaming babies! At least not in this generation.

Anise looks so much like her father. Unfortunately, she got the annoying social butterfly aspiration but she got the creative trait.

And our heir, Oregano, looks so much like his Mom. He got an easy aspiration, but from what I've heard, the squeamish trait is very annoying.

Here we have an example of his trait in action.
Anise is happy, because she just grew up and her needs are pretty high.
However, Oregano is uncomfortable and freaking out because of the fish tank in the room.

Our first Sage sighting, and she's about to angrily

While he was practicing his typing, one of his family members brought a dirty dish into the room because they were cleaning up the dishes. This was Oregano's response.

For some reason, when Saffron came home from school, he arrived in the back of the house. But, he came home with an A and so he has completed his aspiration! I gave him rambunctious scamp as his next aspiration, but it's his birthday so he won't be completing it.

As soon as Rue made him a birthday cake, Saffron was ready to celebrate his teen birthday!

He aged up nicely, but those clothes just aren't doing it for me. They don't fit his personality. But then again....

...his personality doesn't even fit his personality.
How does a "good" sim get an aspiration of Public Enemy? I just don't understand this.
I was originally going to keep the pony tail he grew up in, but I accidentally put this hair on him and then I liked it, so I kept it.

I kind of dressed him more in line of his aspiration than his 'good' trait, because I just don't see how those two are going to work together.

Saffron had invited Vanilla over, and instead of the two of them hanging out, Vanilla and Anise spent most of the evening chatting.

Even though I know I could have fit a fourth bed in the kids room, I decided to just go ahead and let Oregano take his Grandparents bed because that's going to be his room when he's older anyway.

So I had no idea that ghosts could mourn each other.
The second Laurel's ghost came out, she started mourning Cayenne. At least, that's who I assume it was because that's her grave right there.

You wouldn't be able to tell from her facial expression because she had a 'sad' day at school. But, Clove has completed her Whiz Kid aspiration. I gave her Rambunctious Scamp so she could play with her younger brother a little.

It's time for the first birthday in the newly wallpapered kitchen! (You can download that from my dreamwidth, it's made by me!)
"Confetti!"
I think you're supposed to throw the confetti at the birthday boy, Saffron, not on yourself...

As an adult, Daryl looks much older in the face. I didn't see it at first, but looking at this picture now I really do see how much older he looks.
Anyway, that's where we are going to leave this chapter! Stay tuned to see all of generation six grow up!
Until next time! xo
