Once Upon a Thyme: Chapter Six

Hello everyone and welcome back to Once Upon a Thyme!

Because of the number of times that Judd went off to explore space, Aliens come to abduct him! I'm very grateful that he's an elder because I don't want any alien pregnancies if they're not eligible for heir.

Judd is very angry about being abducted, and he stomped around the house for a while after they brought him home.

"You'd be angry too if a buch of weird extraterrestrials started probing you and performing experiments on you."

Yes, probably. But luckily, that's never going to happen since in my world, aliens do not exist.

How romantic guys. I would just love it if my husband would passionately kiss me in multiple piles of trash.

/sarcasm

Thankfully, now that he has the nerd brain aspiration, Judd actually rolls whims to repair all the things that Laurel and Donald's ghosts keep breaking.

WHAT. IS. THAT.

"What do you mean?"

Your stomach. Why isn't it flat anymore?

"I'm just bloated. I've had a weird stomach ache since getting back from being abducted."

That better be all...

Of course it's not. It's just my luck that I learn about the fact that elder males can get pregnant from abduction AFTER it's happened. Looks like I'll be raising an extra child now.

I know that I'm able to "send back to home planet," but I just feel like, unless the abductions get seriously out of control, that's cheating by making the challenge easier.

If you were wondering, this is still the Thyme family's favorite disease, and this is the third or fourth time that Cayenne has caught it. Today she was lucky enough to catch it on her birthday.

Apparently I forgot about the nice burnt look the white cake gets when a sim with subpar cooking makes it, so our heiress gets to have a burnt looking cake as well for her young adult birthday.

"I suddenly have the urge to go yell at a child."

Why?

"Because I hate them. Children are the spawn of Satan. Children need to stay as far away from me as possible."

Oh joy. You got that trait. I guess it's a good thing I bought you carefree, at least now you won't be tense when you're pregnant.

"Oh no, I won't BE pregnant. That results in children. I hate children."

You won't hate your own.

"Oh yes, I will."

Okay, whatever.

So I have to say, Judd's pregnancy was actually super amusing. I love the moodlets he got for each trimester. Though, they weren't happy moodlets, they were all uncomfortable moodlets, but they were fun to read.

Plus, at random times throughout his pregnancy, he'd get this glowing light coming from his belly. I feel like it was the baby using it's 'brain powers' as an equivalent to kicking.

However, like I said before the moodlets did make him super uncomfortable so I'm grateful that he's gone into labor finally. He was so hard to manage while he was pregnant because he was always uncomfortable.

I almost didn't choose an herb/spice name since she's not technically part of the main line, but I ended up naming her Chive. Hopefully she grows up cute!

"You're such a cute wittle baby Chive. Big sis loves you."

AHA. YOU'RE A FRAUD.

"I don't hate babies. Who could hate a poor innocent baby? You'd have to be crazy to hate a poor helpless newborn."

She's going to grow up into a child.

"At that point, I'll hate her."

That makes perfect sense. -eyeroll-

As soon as she put her baby sister back down in her crib, she immediately got this lovely disease that she likes so much again. I'm about to have to just buy her medicine in bulk because she's been getting this so often.

It's time for Juniper to become an elder!

"Ow! My back! I think I heard it crack!"

Man, aging into an elder looks painful. I'm glad I don't have to experience it like that.

I decided to give Juniper a look that was a bit more tame for an elder. I gave her a more mature looking ponytail and a nice elegant dress. I think she's absolutely stunning!

"Goodbye world!"

You're coming back.

"Shh, they don't know that."

I really hope that they fix the glitch that is causing sims to not wear their space suits in Sixam. It kind of took away from the whole experience for me.

However, it is beautiful here. I really, really like it.

I had Cayenne look around for some male aliens, but unfortunately she didn't find any, and her thing popped up saying it was time for work, so she left Sixam to go to work on her own.

Am I the only one that finds it creepy that men can breast feed their alien babies?

Since apparently the babies born from abduction are somehow 100% alien, Chive grew up with no hair and no eyebrows.

When I sent her to the mirror, it was saying her hair is this blonde color, so I went ahead and put it on her. I was originally just going to use the hair color from her disguise, but since altering their disguise opens the entire CAS where you can customize everything 100%, I decided to just stick with the blonde.

Also, I am REALLY tired of getting this Social Butterfly aspiration.

I think she's super adorable. I really like her. Plus, now I get to learn a few things about aliens, which is neat since I haven't gotten to experience this yet in my game.

"GET AWAY FROM ME, CHILD."

"But Cayenne, I love you. I just wanted to give you a hug because you're a good big sister."

"GET. AWAY."

On her next trip to Sixam, Cayenne finally met a male alien named Rashawn Burkett. Even though he has the blue skin, which I wasn't exactly wanting.

Cayenne was able to get him to move in with her!

While he may not have the skintone I was hoping for, I think he's rather cute and I think they'll have cute children.

Hey look guys, I jinxed myself last chapter! Remember how excited I said I was because Giselle was a spares wife since she had this aspiration? Well, now Rashawn has it!

Other than that however, Rashawn has some interesting traits. And while I'm unable to get pictures of it, or figure out how to get him to swipe an item, he does swipe an item everyday when he comes home from work. (He has a job at level 8 in a career, how awesome is that?)

It was a little hard to dress him because of the blue skin, but I think he looks pretty good!

He's adjusting to sim-world very well, and has even learned the act of giving roses to women you fancy.

I really like these guys as a couple.

Did I mention how adorable they are? This is the first time I've seen the making out interaction, and it just seems so gentle and sweet.

Damnit Haleigh. I went all out and got them dressed nice and sent them to a nice location to have Rashawn propose and then without even realizing I apparently had Cayenne selected and had her propose to Rashawn without even thinking about what I was doing.

On the bright side, he said yes.

Then they immediately eloped, all while Rashawn had a pink flirty aura around his body.

Yay, you're pregnant! Generation four is officially on the way! Even better is you're not tense, you're welcome for that trait I bought you as a teen.

"Gee, thanks."

As is tradition with male sims in this family, Rashawn wasn't very pleased about the news of the pregnancy.

Also the happy/energized auras really make them look like they actually have low hygiene. Or is that just me that thinks that?

Juniper has finished the last of the spring challenges by giving Ms. Holiday a perfect growfruit!

The only downside is now I'll be required to tend to the two trees we have so they don't die since they won't be able to be replaced.

Juniper isn't very close to finish her aspiration, so I realized I'm probably not going to complete her aspiration, but at least I completed her first aspiration.

Since I realized that though, I decided it was finally time for the family to have a living room. So I used inspiration from one of the prestyled rooms that came with the Spa back, and now they have a living room!

They even have a basement now for the workout equipment, and various other things at a later point in time. I'm hoping to put a home theatre down here at some point.

My husband bought me Cool Kitchen Stuff, so the first thing I did was had a very pregnant Cayenne try it out. It's a little underwhelming, but it really made me want some orange sherbet myself.

"WHY DO I HAVE TO HAVE A CHILD?"

Because you're the heiress. Now breathe and push!

It's a girl! Meet baby girl Sage, who right now just looks like her Dad.

If you look carefully through the open door, you can see that as soon as Cayenne gave birth she put Sage in the bassinet and went downstairs to get more sherbet.

"Don't worry Sage, Grandma Juniper is here."

"This ice cream, it's messing with my alien brain powers! Someone has found me out!"

Chive, honey, that's just a brain freeze, it'll go away, I promise. However, what happened to your eyebrows? Why are they dark, I have them set to match your hair color.

Seriously, I sent her to the mirror 10 times and everytime she'd come out and they'd change to a random color, so I just left them as is.

Why do you look so happy, Cayenne? I don't see any confetti.

"The test was negative, I'm not going to have another child. I hate children."

But you have a sad moodlet.

"Yeah, well, I'm hormonal from my last pregnancy."

So when I was looking something up about aliens, I learned that they can bring the dead aliens back to life. Cayenne still had a dead blue slug in her inventory, so I temporarily put it on the kitchen counter, and sure enough Rashawn had the option to 'Revive.'

After it was revived, I put him in the foyer opposite the pink whale. His name is Gary. Yes, after Spongebob.

AAAAHHHH.

Seriously guys, stop with the merging. It's scary, you're going to give Sage nightmares. And maybe even me.

So, Judd hasn't progressed much in his career. His alien pregnancy and alien daughter really hindered the process of mentoring fitness.

Sage has become a child, and since she's a hybrid she actually has hair.

She's adorable. But I'm kind of mad that she got the Social Butterfly aspiration. Like seriously, why can't I roll anything else?!

I think she looks a lot like her Dad right now, but I'm sure when she becomes a teenager she'll look a little more like her Mom.

Since she's the same age as her Aunt Chive now, they spend a lot of time playing together. Especially on the new dollhouse that I just bought them.
