Hello everyone, welcome back to Once Upon a Thyme!
"You know, Donald, you're actually pretty sexy with gray hair. Wanna go woohoo?"
"With my hot young wife? You bet I do."

Part of Juniper's aspiration is to have a high charisma skill, so in her spare time that's what she works on raising.
Though, I think Paprika has worn off on her a little because she likes to practice telling stories in the mirror instead of practicing speeches.

I sent Paprika and Juniper to the gym together so they could both work on their aspirations.
Paprika pretty much talked to herself and told herself stories the whole time.

However, thanks to the incredibly friendly trait, Juniper was able to befriend all 12 people she needed for her aspiration just by introducing herself.

"Dang Paprika, you're looking mighty fine Today."
"Aw, -blushes-, you're too sweet Paprika."
I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?
"Oh. It's you. Don't interrupt me when I'm flirting with myself."
Okay then...

Even though her birthday is still a day or two away, I decided to go ahead and age Laurel up to an elder since Donald isn't going to be around much longer. That way they can both be wrinkled and gray together.

"OW! MY BACK! Suddenly my bones feel more fragile..."
It's called getting older, Laurel.

I decided to give Laurel a more mature looking sweater, and had her ditch the boots and heavy make-up. I think she's still super pretty though.

In her old age, Laurel's bladder has shrunk. She couldn't even make it through family breakfast without nearly peeing herself.

Juniper, why did I just see money disappear from the bank?
"I donated to charity."
But why did you donate $100?
"Because I wanted to be helpful."
But your family only had $213, now they are left with only $113...
"Oh well, I got a nice moodlet."
Grr. I had no idea sims could autonomously donate to charity.

What's wrong Paprika?
"Are you blind?"
No, I meant, why do you have those spots everywhere?
"I don't know, I just randomly caught whatever this is."
Go buy some medicine, it'll take care of it immediately.

"Mom, Dad, I'm your oldest child and I'm about to become an adult. Don't you think you could at least pretend to be excited?"

"We are excited, I just had to go grab my horn!"
*CONFETTI*

Since she looks pretty much the same and her aspiration is the same and all that jazz, I didn't think the bio picture was necessary here (however, if you'd prefer those in the future please let me know. Actually, please let me know in general how you like them.)
Ginger's new trait is loves the outdoors which is from her Mom and is fitting with her Angling Ace aspiration.
I had her take a job in the painting career to make some extra money for the family and unlock the easel.

Laurel has finally reached the level of the secret agent career where it branches. She decided to be a Diamond Agent!
This also unlocked a dress that I don't think exactly fits with her current age, lol.

Last year, I missed the Easter egg challenge. Or rather, I had no idea it existed when it happened. This year however, I'm able to participate and after a short period of time, Laurel is almost halfway done with finding the eggs.
I kicked myself a little for selling all her crops when I found out that they drop from there too.

Juniper has finally maxed her charisma skill! Only one thing left to do for her aspiration -- befriend a few more sims.

As if on cue, one of the sims she had already befriended her invited her to a party at a night club where she befriended several more sims and completed her aspiration.
She, of course, took a selfie to commemorate her accomplishment!
Since she's only a teen, I decided to have her take the fabulously wealthy aspiration since she should have enough time to accomplish it.

Everyone, meet Judd McCrary. He is one of the sims that Juniper befriended when she was friend hunting. I decided, after careful consideration between him and a cute redhead, that they would make cute kids. They get along wonderfully too.

"Peace out to all my fans, it's been great!"

I'm sad to see Donald go. I feel like he died so quickly.

Ginger was the only one who made it to the room in time to witness her fathers passing. And is it just me, or does it look like she's trying to hold the grim reapers hand for comfort?

After his death, Laurel crawled into her bed and "cried it out" while Ginger sat at the foot of the bed to console her.
The grim reaper stuck around for a while though, and so Paprika and Juniper were able to at least get the idea that their father had passed.

The death really seemed to hit Ginger the hardest out of the three kids. She's always out at his grave mourning him.

The worst part about his death was that it happened on Juniper's birthday.
But after a shower and a power nap, Juniper was ready to celebrate her birthday, even if nobody was in much of a partying mood.

I think she's so pretty. I'm so glad that she's heiress, she's beautiful.
Now that she's a young adult, she added the trait goofball to her list of traits like her younger sister.

Now that she's a young adult, she can actually flirt with Judd. It looks like he was appreciative of this because once she invited him over, he blew her a kiss.

Not long after, the couple shared their very first kiss.

"So Judd, what do you think about moving in with me and my family? I know we're a bit crazy sometimes, but you'll learn to love us!"
"I don't think your family is crazy, I would love to move in!"

As soon as he moved in, I noticed he only had five days left before he went from young adult to adult. Since I didn't want him to be that much older than Juniper, and we are allowed to have one youth potion per sim, I decided to have him drink a youth potion so he would be the same age as Juniper.

After a make-over, he looks so much better. We also learn that it looks like he will be around for quite a bit if I'm able to complete his aspiration.
He also has a good group of traits, so that bodes well for future kids, hopefully.

Judd and Juniper are really adorable together, and I just noticed while typing this slide up that their names go well together.

"Juniper Thyme, I know we haven't been together that long, but I don't want to spend another day without you as my wife, will you marry me?"

"YES YES YES. I'll marry you Judd!"
Aww, they're so adorable.

On his first day of work in the athletic field, Judd came home with a promotion. This gives me hope because I've heard topping this career is a pain.

I didn't throw a wedding party for them because we didn't have a way to have catering or a bar, but I still wanted them to have something special so I bought them a wedding arch to get married underneath.

It was a beautiful ceremony, and for once I caught the kiss and the confetti in the same picture!

Meet the newest Mr. and Mrs. Thyme!

Then they shared their first woohoo together...in Laurel and Donald's bed...don't judge me they only had one double bed. I'm going to be remodeling soon, but they're almost at the $20,000 in reserve for the current tier of her aspiration so I'm waiting until that happens.

Their first woohoo resulted in the successful conception of generation three!

"Mom, you're going to be a Grandma!"
"What? How did this happen? You were just in diapers the other day yourself. Stop growing up so fast!"

I know you haven't seen much of Paprika lately, but she's basically up to the same stuff as always -- flirting with her reflection, telling stories to herself, talking to herself, etc.

Despite not having the morning sickness buff, Juniper looked pretty miserable when she came home from work.

Donald's ghost finally showed up, and is angry about something. Laurel of course is thrilled to be able to talk to her husband again.
And yes, that's a new house in the background. Once it's day time again I'll get some pictures.

I don't think I realized that sims could woohoo their dead spouses, but Laurel and Donald shared a woohoo together. Though, I think it was a little bad for Laurel, because she kept mourning her husband after the ghost left and got all sad again.

However, before he left Donald showed a little bit of enthusiasm about his daughter's pregnancy.

Now that it's day time, here is their beautiful house! I can't take credit for the layout or floorplan as it's not mine. A friend of mine, Roxy (aka Taube,) built this house for her family in The Gregory Legacy and she gave me permission to copy it for my family so that I could learn how to do dormers and things.
While the floor plan and build aren't mine, the decorations and things are done by me.

Here's the side view.

As you can see, the ground floor is still pretty empty. But I spent the majority of their money and I knew bills would be coming soon, so I decided to wait on the bottom floor.

Here's the upstairs!
Thank you again Roxy for letting me do this!

This is my favorite part of the house -- it's a little reading corner I set up in the playroom

I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with the spares yet, but today is Paprika's birthday! I can't believe all of the second generation has reached young adulthood!

Paprika looks pretty much the same and her new trait is bookworm, which she got from her father. I must say, while her traits are all over the place, she's easily my second favorite this generation.

"I feel tired...I think I'm just going to lie down right here and take a little nap..."
Your bed is right there. Oh wait, you're not THAT kind of tired.

Once again, only Ginger was there to witness her mothers death.
I was actually really upset to see Laurel go, I really did love her as a founder and I was hoping she'd at least get to meet her grandbaby.

Not long after Laurel died, Juniper went into labor with generation three! And this is the first baby that will get to be born into a nursery with wallpaper!

And it's a boy! Meet baby boy Basil!
(Also please ignore the Easter eggs on the floor, it's the only place I had for them at the moment and I'm still trying to find the last one I need.)
And that's where we will end this chapter! Stay tuned to see what I decide to do with the spares, if I ever find that last Easter egg, and to watch Basil grow up and get some siblings!
In the mean time, please check in with me over at SiMania or BoolProp!
