Alright so a friend of mine is doing this challenge and it looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to give it a go because I had never really gotten into the sims three, but this helped. It's sort of like an extended legacy without some of the restrictions. The rules for the challenge can be found here.

Anyway, our founder here is Elle Farmington.

The lot was more expensive, because it's near the beach.



Since Elle's objectives as farmer require her to have a garden, and her lifetime wish does too, I wasted no time in having her get started on her garden.



Since Elle is frugal, she's able to clip coupons from the newspaper. Which comes in handy sometimes because there are really good discounts. Plus, when she uses the coupons it puts her in a good mood.



Between keeping her mood up and working on the garden, I forgot to pay the bills! So the RepoWoman came and took her lights.



This is Eugene Hunter. He's a cop in the neighborhood, and looks much cuter in uniform, but Elle asked him out on a date!



Soon Eugene and Elle shared their first kiss together.



Elle isn't getting any younger (she's almost an adult from her young adult stage) so I had her propose to Eugene.



Then, the two had a nice private wedding in her backyard.

Objective completed: Get married



They shared their first woohoo after getting married.

Objective completed: No woohoo before marriage



Their house is actually starting to look like a house instead of a box!



I really like that your sim can "announce" their pregnancies, it's a cute interaction.



Elle gave birth to a baby girl named Alice after Alice in Wonderland.

I decided to make each generation be named after something random.



It's time for Elle to become an adult, though obviously they don't change much from young adult to adult so she's going to look exactly the same.



Eugene was almost an elder when he moved in, so a few days after Elle grew up it was time for Eugene to grow up as well.



It's also time for little Alice's birthday! She grew up cute, though I'm not sure where her black hair is from.



Elle had another baby girl, this one is named Dinah after Alice's cat in Alice in Wonderland.



Elle has now achieved her lifetime wish of a perfect garden!



I hope youre having a little boy Elle!



And she did! Baby boy Bill is named after Bill the Lizard in Alice in Wonderland.

Time for Dinah's birthday! She's adorable!



First of all, I love that the sims can do other things while holding their babies and toddlers, it's cute.

Secondly, I find it hilarious that they're watching things from the sims two on television.



Time for Alice to become a child. I of course, felt the need to dress her like her namesake.



I like the way sims help their children with their homework better now than in the sims two.



Of course, the peek-a-boo interaction is still adorable.



But this makes me super happy! I always wished children could hug their toddler siblings in TS2 and now they can!



So, it's time for Bill's birthday and the cake caught on fire! I was surprised when that happened, but either way Bill grew up cute.



Dinah is now a child, and a super adorable one at that. She's my favorite.



I've been bad at taking pictures, but anyway Bill is now a child.



Alice is now a teenager.



Elle has completed all of her objectives.



Holy cow, Dinah is stunning! I love her so much!



Alice has mastered logic, which means she's 1/3rd done with her LTW of being a Renaissance Sim.



Bill is now a teenager!



I just installed generations at this point, so the first thing I did was have Bill learn to drive. It was a little funny to watch because he'd speed through stops and hit the brakes too soon.



Eugene has died!



Bill doesn't seem to be too sad. Though, he was mourning.



The girls however look devastated.



Elle has become an elder.



Elle got the opportunity to go on a free vacation, so I sent her on it.



Dinah has mastered the painting skill meaning she's half way done with her lifetime want of become an illustrious author.



For some reason, Dinah was the only one of the kids to go to prom, but she was crowned prom queen!



This was her date, Manu Batista. He's not very cute, but somehow they had a romantic interest.



Time for Alice to become a young adult - I decided to keep her in the dress she had as a teen because I really liked it.

Her traits are:

• Genius

Alice and Elbert Reedy hit it off really well, as you can tell.



I think this is cuter than the cuddle beneath the stars action in TS2.



Alice has officially graduated high school!



To celebrate, she proposed to her boyfriend Elbert.



She then moved out of her Mother's house and into her own house.



Where she had a private wedding ceremony with Elbert.



After making Elle's house the active household again, Elle, Bill, and Dinah went over to visit Alice.



It looks like Elle misses Alice because she sleeps in Alice's bed now.



Time for Dinah to become a young adult! She's stunning!

Elle has found a new romantic interest in Preston Crowley, however I forgot about Manu so I got a popup saying her reputation was now "naughty"



So the next day, I had her go see Manu and tell him she wanted to just be friends.



I got a pop-up saying Elle was now a grandmother! So I had her go to Alice's to visit. Alice and Elbert had a baby girl named Julia. (At least Maxis randomized her a good name)



Now it's time for Bill to be an adult!

Favorite food: Vegetarian Lobster Thermadore
Favorite music: Classical

His traits are:

• Neat
• Athletic
• Friendly

He moved out and into a house by himself. Since he wanted to be a world renowned surgeon, he didn't have time for a family or love life.



This is what the family's house looks like now. However they're moving out of it now..



Into this house that I built using the floorplan feature.



That being said, that ends the chapter. It wasn't my best writing I know, but I didn't take very many pictures so I promise my next chapter will be better.

Dinah is going to be the heiress, and she's going to be generation journalist.
